Call About Locating a Tank
Common Reasons to Locate a Septic Tank
Tank locating may be needed when property records are incomplete, the lids are buried, the system has not been serviced recently, or access must be established before pumping, inspection, or repair.
- The tank location is unknown
- The lids are below grade
- A pumping or inspection visit requires access
- The visible cleanout or line needs to be traced toward the tank
How Advanced Septic May Locate the Tank
One method uses a flushable electronic transmitter that can be tracked from above ground.
When the property has an accessible cleanout, a sewer camera with a locating transmitter may be used to trace the sewer line toward the tank.
Locating the Tank May Be Followed by Excavation
When the access lids are buried, careful excavation may be needed to expose them for service.
Access, soil, depth, obstacles, and site conditions can affect the work and pricing. Property restoration expectations must be discussed before publication or service.
